Craftsmanship is a primary resource for Italy. The traditions of the "know-how", are handed down in the workshops of the villages and towns and, in time, became incorporated in the depths of the territories, characterizing and creating a unique relationship between landscape and society that inhabits it. The combination of unique materials and techniques unique accompanied the history of our country to create products recognizable and appreciated worldwide. The magic of the craftsman who with his hands and the few tools available to manage to shape the materials that nature provides around his community, still fascinates visitors who are lucky enough to be in front of a shop while the master is at work. Listen to the sound of tools that regular rhythms seem to mark time or peek through the cracks of a window, or the crack of a door, the light that originates from the few rays of sun through the work room, often surrounded by a cloud dust, waste of a material that is slowly turning in work, are gestures which hold in an instant a long and often celebrated past. Who has had the good fortune to find himself faced with a similar scenario in one of the centers that are scattered in our land, know what I'm talking about. And 'this background that those who visit an area trying to incorporate into an object with unique characteristics, able, whenever you come into contact, to evoke the feelings of the experience. For this, many artifacts, which were previously produced and decorations for daily use, have become over time in memories and souvenirs. Small works of art that preserve itself the habits and customs, sometimes thousands of years, of a particular community.
So strong is the attraction and the charm of these objects, even those who have visited the place in which they are produced, has the desire to have them and to expose them to their homes to echo a work life lived within four walls and an unrivaled ability to mass market products will never be able to offer.
But the craft is not just looking at the past. It 'a Janus able to look at the same traditions and the future of the global market. These products, often linked to specific and selected areas, are living again, thanks to the network, a new spring. More and more people are aware of their existence, of their history, of their value, but, more importantly, their uniqueness. And more and more people, in different corners of the world, are willing to buy them at a distance, not as a simple gift, but as real ornaments from distinguishing characteristics irreproducible.
This site has as its duty to disclose as much as possible formations related to some of our excellent craftsmanship, hoping to contribute to the strengthening of Italy's image in the world and thus help, many small craftsmen to find new markets to which bring the fruits of their mastery.
